Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership and Management: Directly manage a team of R&D project managers, overseeing their performance and development. Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve high productivity and engagement. Foster a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration, supporting professional growth, and resolving conflicts effectively.
• Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans for project management across the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and technical capabilities.
• Resource Management: Allocate and optimize resources across all projects and departments, ensuring that each project has the necessary support and personnel to succeed.
• Technical Project Management: Supervise the execution of complex projects, working closely with product managers, team leaders, system architects, and DevOps to ensure successful delivery.
• Roadmap Planning and Execution: Oversee roadmap planning and management, ensuring all projects are aligned with technical requirements and capabilities. Manage sprint processes, ensuring that technical tasks are prioritized and completed effectively across all teams
• Performance Monitoring: Track and measure the performance of the R&D department in terms of quality, efficiency, collaboration, and success rates.
• Methodology Implementation: Implement and enforce best practices in project management methodologies, agile ceremonies and principles, and rollouts ensuring consistency and efficiency across all projects.
• Release Management: Oversee project rollouts with the highest standards, ensuring smooth and successful deployments.
• Stakeholder Communication and Escalation: Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for stakeholders. providing clear updates, addressing concerns, and proposing solutions to ensure smooth project progress and efficiency.
• Tools Administration: Oversee the administration of project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the project management departments.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience delivering production-grade data pipelines and backend services
• 2 + years of experience using Spark/Presto/ Trino or similar
• Experience building data pipelines, and working in distributed architectures
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Experience with designing and implementing data lake/warehouse
• Experience with Snowflake/Databricks/Sagemaker or similar – Advantage
• Knowledge and understanding of work in a modern CI environment: Git, Docker, K8S - An advantage
• Experience with ETL tools: AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, etc... - An advantage
• Experience with Kafka - Advantage
• Experience with Kafka Connect (Java) - Advantage
