Head of Data Science

One of our clients, an innovative leader in digital health, is looking to hire a Head of Data. This organization is recognized for integrating behavioral science with advanced AI and emotional intelligence (EI) within its healthcare platforms, allowing for a highly personalized user experience across a large patient network. The company is focused on empowering stakeholders within the health ecosystem to connect and engage with patients at scale.

As the Head of Data, you will design and implement a comprehensive data strategy to support the company's objectives. In this role, you will lead a team of data scientists and analysts, advancing machine learning integration across the platform. Collaboration with product teams, engineers, and other cross-functional teams will be essential to establish a data-driven approach that enhances decision-making and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic data roadmap in alignment with business goals.
• Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering their growth and expertise.
• Analyze complex data sets to generate insights that drive product development and business strategies.
• Collaborate closely with various departments to identify data needs and integrate data solutions into product offerings.
• Ensure all data processes comply with global data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Keep abreast of innovations in data science and health technology.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in data science or a similar field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of machine learning - Must
• Understanding of reinforcement learning algorithms. - Nice to have
• Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and data warehousing, especially with ETL operations and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Experience with GenAI capabilities is a plus.
