Job Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized Marketing Associate to support
our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who can take initiative and thrive in a
fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision. You will be working
directly with the Marketing Manager to execute campaigns, create content, and assist
with day-to-day marketing operations. The right candidate will be resourceful, have a
keen attention to detail, and be able to execute tasks with a high degree of
independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Social Media Content Creation: Develop and manage simple, on-brand content for
various social media platforms.
• File Organization: Organize and maintain image and video assets in Google Drive
to streamline content creation processes.
• News Monitoring: Use WhatsApp and Telegram to monitor breaking news and
provide relevant updates for media chats.
• Independent Task Execution: Take ownership of tasks, solve problems, and figure
things out without needing extensive guidance.
• Donor Outreach Support: Assist with printing, mailing, and preparing donor
letters and other related materials as needed.
• Influencer Collaboration: Reach out to influencers and social media accounts for
potential collaborations and partnerships.
• Advertising Research: Identify and explore ad opportunities in newspapers,
magazines, and local news outlets relevant to the Jewish community.
• Software Proficiency: Work with GSuite (Google Sheets, Docs, etc.), Microsoft
Office Suite, and other tools to assist in campaign development and internal
communications.
• Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with affiliates to gather information for
fundraising campaigns and create content that supports campaign goals.
• Research & Content Development: Research recent and past events to build
compelling content for social media and marketing campaigns.
Graphic Design Responsibilities:
Utilize Canva to support various marketing initiatives, including but not limited to:
• Brand Consistency: Create on-brand graphics that align with the organization’s
visual identity, ensuring that all content—such as social media posts, email headers,
and website visuals—follows brand guidelines, color schemes, and typography.
• Designing One-Pagers and PDFs: Build visually appealing one-pagers, brochures,
and PDFs for internal and external use. This includes laying out text, images, and
graphics in a cohesive and organized manner to deliver professional, clear
messaging.
• Logo Management: Handle logo placement and design, ensuring all logos are
saved and exported correctly for various uses (i.e., transparent PNGs, vector formats).
Ensure logo consistency across all platforms and designs.
• Social Media Content Creation: Design and format content for Instagram,
Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn posts. This includes creating eye-catching graphics,
posts with text overlays, infographics, and carousel posts to boost engagement and
brand awareness.
• Infographic Design: Design infographics to communicate key data and
information. These may be used for internal presentations, newsletters, and social
media to simplify complex ideas and data in a visually engaging way.
• Email Campaign Graphics: Create visuals, such as email banners, buttons, or icons,
to support email marketing campaigns. Ensure that all visuals are responsive and
work across desktop and mobile platforms.
• Presentations: Use Canva to design and format presentation decks for internal
meetings, fundraising pitches, and external conferences. Ensure these presentations
are visually engaging, with balanced text and imagery.
• Event Materials: Design event-related materials, such as flyers, posters, invitations,
or social media banners, for both digital and print distribution.
• Template Creation: Build custom templates for recurring design needs, including
email headers, social media posts, or presentations, to streamline workflows and
ensure brand consistency across departments.
• Collaboration & Feedback: Use Canva’s collaborative features to share designs,
receive feedback from team members or stakeholders, and make edits or revisions
accordingly.
• Exporting & File Management: Export designs in various formats, including PNG,
JPG, PDF, and MP4 for video content. Ensure that all files are saved and organized
appropriately in Google Drive or other internal systems for easy access.
Qualifications:
• Experience with social media management and basic graphic design (Canva
knowledge is a must).
• Proficiency in GSuite, Microsoft Office Suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, and
PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain files and assets in Google Drive and Canva.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and figure out solutions to
problems.
• Ability to research news, trends, and opportunities related to the Jewish
community and translate them into actionable marketing initiatives.
• Familiarity with WhatsApp, Telegram, and online news channels for monitoring
and responding to current events.
• Excellent communication skills for reaching out to influencers, affiliates, and
stakeholders.
