About This Opportunity

We are looking for a UI/UX design student who will contribute to the design and workflow for software and mobile applications used for treatment planning and patient communication. As a UI/UX design intern, you will collaborate with the product team and the software engineering team to understand the end-to-end operational flow in detail. You will be part of a User Centered Design team that is continuously working to improve the UX. The role involves communication with stakeholders and analysis of user behavior on a daily basis.

In this role, you will…

• Collaborate directly with the Manager of User Centered Design and the design team to help create and shape our new Design System
• Develop solutions that address real customer needs and expectations with great design craft, experience, and attention to detail
• Create UI and UX prototypes for development teams to understand and follow, and help evolve our internal UI guidelines
• Collaborate with other designers and design peers to maintain a consistent and cohesive experience direction for our end users across different platforms and tasks.
• Assist in creating new conceptual screens and visual assets using evolving guidelines and design patterns
• Participate in rapid design exploration and present future product concepts through sketches, mockups, and prototypes
• Work closely with development teams to ensure design specifications are accurately implemented and integrated with existing frameworks
• Support UX research to evaluate new and existing products using various methodologies, including usability studies, ethnographic field research, user surveys, prototype testing, competitive product analysis, and industry trend research
• Use both qualitative and quantitative data to make informed design decisions, and communicate design rationale effectively through storytelling and data
• Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements to create intuitive user-centered design solutions
• Design micro-interactions in our products to enhance user understanding and improve the overall experience
  
  

In this role, you’ll need …

• Some experience in UX/UI software and mobile apps design (internships or projects are acceptable)
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related field
• Ability to demonstrate UI design skills with a portfolio (academic projects are acceptable)
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Basic understanding of user research methods
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
• Eagerness to learn and become a subject matter expert
• Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in English
