Algorithm Engineer

An impressive Algo trading startup focused on developing algorithms for high-frequency trading (HFT) in the financial markets, currently experiencing growth. The company is structured into three main departments: Algorithm Development, Software & Infrastructure, and Operations.

Located in Tel Aviv near a train line and offers a hybrid work model with two remote days.

The company is profitable, trading independently using its capital alongside private investors, focusing all investment solely on R&D to enhance its trading capabilities (no external clients or sales department).

Role Overview:

As part of a team of 10 researchers, the role involves research and development of Machine Learning algorithms, with a strong theoretical component. It includes working on complex problems, mathematical and statistical modeling, and taking projects from research to production. Coding is done in C/C++ and Python, within the realms of high-frequency trading algorithms and quantitative finance.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree (preferably Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Engineering, or a related field with a 90+ GPA
• 4 years of industry experience
• Prior experience in quantitative finance – a big advantage
• Strong statistical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong programming skills (especially C/C++ and Python)
