We are on the lookout for a seasoned sales leader with a strong passion for the defense sector and expertise in selling control systems.
As the Director of Sales & Business Development, you will play a crucial role in advancing our defense sales initiatives and driving the success of our innovative solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Full Sales Cycle Management: You will take charge of the complete sales process—from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and providing post-sales support. Your skill in navigating complex sales environments and building rapport with key stakeholders will be essential.
- Expertise in Command & Control Systems: Your background in C2/C4I systems will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities within the defense sector. Collaborating with product and engineering teams, you will present cutting-edge solutions tailored to client needs.
- Global Sales Experience: With extensive international sales experience, you will expand our reach and cultivate partnerships with defense organizations worldwide. Your ability to adapt sales strategies to diverse cultural contexts will be key.
- Technical Proficiency: A solid technical background will help you instill confidence in clients and effectively demonstrate the superiority of our products.
- Strategic Market Analysis: You will develop and implement business strategies that foster growth and enhance profitability by analyzing market trends.
- Insight into Security Organizations: Your experience in defense organizations equips you with a deep understanding of the sector's challenges, enabling you to tailor our sales approach for security-focused clients.
- Relationship Development: Building and nurturing relationships with defense clients and stakeholders will be central to your role. Your ability to understand client needs and provide customized solutions will differentiate us in the marketplace.
- Travel Flexibility: This position will require regular travel to attend industry events, meet with clients, and explore new opportunities, allowing you to connect with diverse cultures.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in the global defense market.
- Proven ability to create commercial proposals and work independently.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful direct and channel sales experience within the defense sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and a solid track record in sales.
- Technical background is essential; understanding Command & Control systems is a notable advantage.
- Excellent presentation skills and a personable approach to relationship building.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex environments and achieve sales objectives.
- Experience leading intricate sales processes, including large-scale proposals.
- Background in project or program management in the defense sector is a plus.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional European languages is advantageous.
- An MBA is preferred.
