Position Overview:

Agwa is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize our production and supply chain efforts. This senior leadership role requires expertise in hardware manufacturing—specifically large devices with integrated electronics—and an in-depth understanding of managing global supply chains and logistics of consumables. The VP of Operations will oversee long-distance manufacturing, particularly in the Far East, and frequently travel to the region to supervise production lines, conduct sales operations planning, and control NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operations Management: Oversee the end-to-end production of Agwa’s hardware devices, ensuring timely manufacturing, quality assurance, and cost efficiency.

- Long-Distance Manufacturing: Lead and manage manufacturing operations in the Far East, ensuring seamless coordination with suppliers, factories, and logistics partners. Implement strategies to optimize production costs and quality while minimizing lead times.

- Frequent Travel: Willingness to frequently fly to the Far East to oversee production lines, ensure quality control, manage relationships with suppliers, and conduct sales operations planning.

- NPI (New Product Introduction) Control:** Oversee and manage the NPI process, from concept to production, ensuring smooth integration of new products into the production line while maintaining quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

- Supply Chain & Logistics:** Manage and optimize the supply chain for both hardware and consumable products, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution to global customers, with a focus on maritime delivery.

- Production Oversight: Lead the production process of electronic hardware, ensuring the smooth integration of components, meeting deadlines, and maintaining quality standards.

- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics partners in the Far East and other regions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring on-time delivery of raw materials and consumables.

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to scale operations, improve production efficiencies, reduce costs, and support business growth across multiple regions.

- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all production processes and products meet industry regulations and environmental standards.

- Financial Oversight: Monitor operational budgets, control costs, and forecast future operational needs to align with business goals.

- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, sales, and customer support teams to align production with market demand and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

- Proven experience (10+ years) in operations management, specifically in hardware production with integrated electronics.

- Extensive experience managing global supply chains and logistics, particularly for consumables and hardware.

- Strong expertise in long-distance manufacturing, especially in the Far East, including experience coordinating with factories and suppliers in Asia.

- Experience controlling NPI (New Product Introduction) processes, from concept to mass production.

- Willingness to frequently travel to the Far East to oversee production and conduct sales operations planning.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.

- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production planning.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in maritime or similar industries (preferred but not required).

- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
