Systems Biologist

The Position

Protai is developing an AI-powered discovery platform leveraging proteogenomics data to develop novel therapeutics and diagnostics for a variety of complex diseases. We are looking for an experienced systems biologist with deep research skills to join our team and work closely with AI, research and clinical professionals.

Location - Ramat Gan, Israel.  

Responsibilities

• Perform cross-discipline data analysis combining omics data, medical records and biology experiments to identify drug targets and biomarkers
• Translate clinical unmet needs to biological research questions
• Design translational biology experiments related to drug development
• Use statistical modeling and machine learning tools to extract meaningful biological insights

Requirements

• PhD in bioinformatics/systems biology or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience with hands-on analysis of large scale omics data
• Solid and deep understanding of molecular cell biology and/or cancer biology
• Strong background in statistics and bioinformatic techniques and resources
• A team player, with ability to work independently
• Hands-on experience in code development in python or R
