Position: Protein Researcher

Type: Maternity Leave Substitute (with potential for permanent placement)

At PoLoPo, we’re pioneering the future of food through molecular farming, utilizing potatoes to produce sustainable animal-based proteins. If you’re passionate about advancing the Foodtech sector and have a strong background in protein research, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct protein analysis and quantification assays, including SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, Bradford, and BCA.
• Develop and implement protein downstream processing (DSP) techniques at both lab and industrial scales.
• Lead and mentor a team of research assistants, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Collaborate with lab equipment suppliers and efficiently manage inventory.

Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience in the Food/Agritech industry, particularly in protein research.
• Msc. in plant sciences/biotechnology/life sciences
• Strong expertise in protein assays and processing techniques.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide a team effectively.
• Experience in managing lab equipment and supplies is a plus.
