At Clara Health, we’re building low-latency voice AI agents for healthcare providers.

Everyone’s familiar with the frustration of navigating endless phone menus—press 5, press 9, and eventually, you give up. That is, if you’re lucky enough that the call is picked up at all. The impact is real: 85% of people don’t call back when their calls are missed, and 41% avoid making calls altogether due to too many transfers.

We’re changing that using ultra low-latency language and voice AI models. We’re backed by leading VCs and are looking for our first engineer to help us bring this vision to life.

• Core AI/Voice Engine: Own the development and optimization of our entire agent engine. You’ll research, benchmark, fine-tune, and integrate language models, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech models to deliver low-latency, real-time conversations at scale.
• Full-stack: In addition to the agent engine, you’ll develop end-to-end (backend + frontend) product features to create an outstanding user experience.
• Customer Interaction: You'll be directly engaging with our customers to design, build, and deploy our product.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Node.js, or Python
• Experience building early-stage products, ideally at a seed-stage startup.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques.
• Real interest in working on AI systems

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI (LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, etc.) or audio technologies.
• Experience working with React.
