Technical Lead

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Tech Lead with a strong background in backend development using Python and frontend development using ReactJS and/or TypeScript. This individual will play a crucial role in driving the technical direction of our company while actively contributing to the development process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams in fast-paced, early-stage startup environments and will possess advanced knowledge of AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of talented developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Oversee the architectural design and implementation of scalable backend solutions using Python.
• Drive the development and maintenance of responsive, user-friendly frontend applications using ReactJS and/or TypeScript.
• Ensure best practices in coding standards, code reviews, and testing to deliver high-quality software.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of AWS to architect and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, set priorities, and deliver projects on time.
• Act as a mentor and coach to team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in the AI agents and workflow automations spaces.
• Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on development tasks, contributing to codebase and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• 5+ years of experience in frontend development with ReactJS and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with development in GenAI / Agentic environments.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS, including architecture, deployment, and management of cloud services.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing development teams in a fast-growing, VC-backed startup (early stage).
• Proven ability to architect and implement scalable, high-performance systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Hands-on approach to leadership, with a willingness to actively participate in development tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional programming languages and frameworks.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Previous experience in consumer or SMB products.
