We are seeking a Senior Product Leader with deep expertise in the payments industry and strong management experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of building and scaling complex platforms, leading high-performing teams, and driving product innovation in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for setting the strategy and vision for our payments and platform products, ensuring they align with Papaya’s broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set, drive, and execute the product strategy for Papaya Global’s leading platform to enable complex data workflows and payment processes at scale.
• Attract, build, manage, and develop a talented, diverse, equitable, and inclusive team of product managers and product leaders.
• Lead a team through the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative payments and platform products.
• Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers, focusing on card payments, digital wallets, and cross-border payment solutions.
• Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure the organization is effective, healthy, and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals.
• Identify strategic areas of new investment and generate budget models for product expansion.
• Work closely with other teams at Papaya Global to ensure efficient and productive working relationships.
• Understand the market and competition, and champion our users to craft product strategies that will lead to long-term success.
• Lead by example—be incredibly truth-seeking and data-driven, set a high bar for the team to think boldly and creatively, and translate that energy into concrete product and execution plans.
• Build strategic partnerships with payment providers, fintech companies, and banking institutions.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and leverage this knowledge to inform product strategy.

• 12+ years of experience in Product Management, working collaboratively with engineering, design, and user research teams.
• 8+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and senior product leaders.
• 8+ years of experience leading teams and driving strategy at SaaS/PaaS businesses.
• Deep understanding of the payments industry, including card payments, digital wallets, and payment network management.
• A high bar across the board—from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you build.
• Hands-on experience building platforms, implementing API/services layers, and deconstructing data monoliths.
• Experience with system telemetry, logging, and measurement.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product features.
• Excellent communication skills—equally comfortable explaining your team's analysis and recommendations to executives as you are discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field; technical understanding must go from the highest abstractions down to the hardware.

• Background in engineering, data, and analytics, with experience shipping production internal and external platforms.
