About the role

The Scopio imaging algorithms team is at the forefront of developing advanced imaging solutions that enable rapid, high-quality slide digitization at 100x. . We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced team leader to guide our talented researchers through the next phase of innovation.

What you’ll be doing

• Gaining a deep understanding of the current imaging solution, identifying both strengths and areas for improvement
• Overseeing the enhancement, stabilization, and fine-tuning of existing imaging technologies
• Leading the research toward the next-generation imaging solutions
• Managing proof-of-concept projects and aligning team efforts with company goals
• Defining rigorous testing and evaluation protocols to optimize system performance
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including computer vision, software, and data

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years of industry experience, including at least two years in a leadership role
• MSc or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field (optics experience is a plus)
• Strong innovative thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in the field of imaging
• Proven ability to lead expert teams in solving complex challenges and delivering cutting-edge solutions
• Experience managing projects from requirements gathering through production integration
• Expertise in image reconstruction, inverse problems and optimization, Fourier optics, and neural networks is highly advantageous
