Head of Data Science

PhaseV is an innovative startup at the forefront of leveraging Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to revolutionize clinical trials and drug development. Our cutting-edge platforms for adaptive trial design and causal ML analysis are already being applied in the industry. Collaborating with 7 of the top pharmaceutical companies, as well as multiple CROs and biotechs, we are poised to make a significant impact on how drugs are developed and brought to market.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Science Team Lead to head our team of brilliant researchers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning with a special affinity for causal modeling and discovery as well as hardcore statistics. This role is critical in driving our mission to disrupt traditional clinical trial methodologies and improve drug development processes.

○     Drive the development and implementation of advanced ML algorithms, focusing on causal ML.

○     Stay updated on the latest advancements in ML and AI to incorporate into our platforms.

○     Work with clinical and biological experts to identify optimal solutions for hard problems.

○     Be part of the companies leadership team, leading a key vector in our activity

○     Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data scientists and researchers.

○     Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.

○     Engage with key stakeholders, including top pharma companies, to understand and address their needs.

○     Represent the company at industry conferences and events

○     Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.

○     Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science or machine learning roles.

○     At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or team lead position.

○     Experience with ML in a practical research or industry setting.

○     Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R.

○     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

○     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

○     Experience in the biotech industry.

○     Familiarity with Causal Inference.
