Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a talented and proactive Hardware Engineer with a passion for innovation and a drive to lead cutting-edge technological projects from concept to completion. In this role, you will be a critical member of the hardware team, playing a key role not only in the design and development of next-generation hardware platforms but also in managing and driving projects. You will be responsible for high-speed board design and the integration of various advanced technologies.

A strong element of project management is involved in this role. We are looking for individuals who are not only technically skilled but also highly self-motivated, able to take the initiative, and lead complex technical tasks from end to end.

You will collaborate closely with R&D teams, including FPGA, optics, software, and system engineers, ensuring seamless alignment and successful execution of projects. This role offers the opportunity to influence critical components of our quantum encryption solutions and work at the forefront of cybersecurity and quantum key distribution (QKD) technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of advanced hardware platforms.
• Work on high-speed board designs, focusing on lines exceeding 10Gbps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams to integrate FPGA, microcontrollers, and high-speed electronics.
• Oversee complex HW designs, including the layout of high-speed lines (micro/buried vias, back drill vias).

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-speed board design. - MUST
• Expertise in designing microcontrollers, DDR, FPGA, and high-speed electronics.
• Experience in layout design for high-speed electronics.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working with multidisciplinary systems involving digital and analog components.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces such as USB 3.0 and PCIe.
• Background in high-speed analog and electro-optical components.
• Familiarity with the simulation of high-speed layouts.
