Upstream Product Manager

Augmedics, a medical device start-up developing an Augmented Reality Guided Surgery System, is seeking an Upstream Product Manager.

The Upstream Product Manager performs a key role in the success of Augmedics’ business by working collaboratively across multi-disciplines such as R&D, QARA, Medical Education, and Marketing.

This role supports the integration process from voice of customer through product launch.

Main tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

• Responsible for all user manual ongoing necessary updates.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between surgeon consultants and the R&D development design teams to facilitate collaboration on future product development projects.
• Working under the direction of VP Customer Experience, assist in the development of both marketing (MRS) and product requirements (PRS) for current product improvements and future products.
• Provide marketing support to R&D and regulatory teams during cadaver labs.
• Educate internal teams on clinical best practices relevant to product development for successful execution of cadaveric studies.
• Collaborate with the regulatory and R&D teams on clinical investigations related to product complaints, ensuring comprehensive assessments and solutions.
• Support the Medical Education team by providing product-related content and context for training initiatives.
  
  

• Engineering or clinical background - an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience – a must.
• Clinical expertise in the Spin field – an advantage
• Knowledge of and experience in the US spine market, with a history of OR observations and surgeon relationships - an advantage.
• Proven track record of developing and supporting clinical, patient-focused enabling technologies.
• Knowledge of product development and FDA processes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel to US and attend US surgical procedures.
