Lead Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead the Data Science domain in our fast-growing retail company. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Data Science function within the company, developing the strategy and roadmap for data initiatives.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that will help shape the company's strategic direction.
• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business challenges.
• Oversee a complete release to production, including analyzing requirements, testing, monitoring and measuring results, multitasking, and quickly responding to critical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and operations, to identify data-driven opportunities and solutions.
• Continuously explore new data sources, tools, and techniques to enhance data analysis capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Scientist, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry.
• Python expert!
• Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, statistics or relevant field;
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Previous experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
