Product Designer

Optibus seeks a Product Designer with a strong track record in designing complex applications.

In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting intuitive and user-friendly products that simplify the complexities of public transportation. As a key member of our design team, you’ll collaborate with designers across multiple locations to develop and refine our product, ensuring consistency and excellence in every user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end user experiences for our products, from early prototypes to final implementation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management and engineering teams to innovate and bring new ideas to life
• Stakeholder management: Present complex design concepts to various stakeholders, translating user flows into simple, accessible designs
• Design Leadership: Advocate for UX best practices across the organization, driving consistency and quality in all design outputs

As a core team member, you will:

• User-Centric Design: Deeply understand and address the needs and pain points of Optibus users
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that designs are feasible and meet the needs of all stakeholders
• Continuous Improvement: Iteratively improve designs based on user feedback and testing results
• Tackle design challenges with creativity and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience designing a complex system/platform
• Excellent visual design skills with a sensitivity to user-system interaction possess excellent communication skills - Ability to present your design solutions to
• various stakeholders
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision (not just 'how it should look' but 'what we should build')
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• You have a positive attitude and great social skills with a willingness to put aside ego for the sake of what's best for the team
• You have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• You have a high level of written and spoken English

Portfolio Required:

A strong portfolio is critical for this role. Showcase your experience in UX and interaction design, particularly in complex systems where usability, simplicity, and ease of use are a major concern.
