About the Position:

Tomgrow is seeking a Development Specialist with expertise in soil and water agronomy, who is responsible and has a big-picture perspective, to take ownership of agronomy development. This role requires curiosity, responsibility, and the ability to conduct research and development. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with the chemistry department, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and translate company goals into practical experiments and conclusions that drive development. The position also involves close collaboration with operational teams and product management to support all company products from an agronomic perspective.

Responsibilities

·      Setting agronomic requirements for substrates for different products:

Defining the key agronomic characteristics needed for each substrate to suit different plant types. Focuses on factors like water retention, aeration, and nutrient availability to enhance plant growth.

·      Planning, executing, and deriving conclusions from agronomic experiments:

Designing and conducting experiments to evaluate substrate performance. This includes collecting data systematically and using statistical analysis to draw conclusions that inform product improvements.

·      Building and transferring protocols for use by product and operational departments:

Creating standardized procedures for substrate usage and testing. Ensures consistency across product and operational teams.

·      Managing and preserving the agronomic knowledge within the company:

Organizing and updating the repository of agronomic data and practices. Supports employee training and decision-making processes.

Requirements:

·      Master’s degree in Soil and Water science.

·      1-3 years of experience.
