Network Analyst

About The Position:

We are seeking an experienced, team-oriented, and quick-learning Network Services Analyst.

As a Network Services Analyst, your primary responsibility is to research and identify network applications and services, as well as develop and implement signatures and rules for these identifiers. You will play a key role in analyzing network data behavior and maintaining a comprehensive services database, with a focus on continuously improving service identification.

Main Responsibilities:

• Research, identify, and analyze network applications, services, and potential vulnerabilities, including signature development.
• Develop and manage identifiers and rules for secure network services and applications.
• Analyze network data patterns and behaviors to detect anomalies and potential security risks.
• Maintain and improve the comprehensive services database with a focus on enhancing service identification and security monitoring.
• Collaborate with security teams to address identified risks and implement network protections.
• Assist in the development of network security policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, HTTP, TLS), with an emphasis on security-related aspects.
• Proficiency in network and protocol analysis using tools such as Wireshark for security auditing and anomaly detection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on security
• B.Sc./BA in Engineering/Computer Science or other quantitative field.

Advantage:

• Know how CDNs works.
• Experience with network security tools (e.g., Snort, Suricata) and firewalls (e.g., iptables).
• Ability to automate tasks and implement security monitoring scripts using Python or other scripting languages (experience with automation frameworks is a plus).
