Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical FinOps Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving financial accountability and optimization within our cloud environments. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective cloud usage, implementing best practices, and providing insights to enhance financial management in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Cost Management: Monitor and analyze cloud spending across various platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with finance and technical teams to develop accurate cloud budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Cost Optimization: Implement and maintain cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing, reserved instances, and spot instances, to reduce unnecessary expenses.
• Reporting & Analytics: Generate detailed reports and dashboards on cloud usage and costs, providing actionable insights to stakeholders for better decision-making.
• FinOps Culture: Promote a culture of financial accountability within the organization by educating teams on cloud cost management principles and best practices.
• Vendor Management: Work with cloud service providers to negotiate contracts, optimize pricing models, and ensure the organization is getting the best value.
• Automation & Tools: Identify and implement automation tools and processes to streamline cloud cost management and reporting.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure cloud cost management practices adhere to company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their cost structures.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Skills:
• +3 years Proficient in using FinOps tools and platforms (e.g., CloudHealth, Anodot, AWS Cost Explorer).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Knowledge of financial governance and compliance standards related to cloud services.
• Certifications: FinOps Certified Practitioner or relevant cloud certifications (advantage).
