Network Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior IT Network and Security Specialist to join our Global IT and Cyber department. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage, implement, maintain, and develop both new and existing security tools and controls to enhance the organization’s asset protection.

Responsibilities:

• Support AvaTrade’s ongoing efforts to secure its global infrastructure.Improve and support SOC work, methods, and operational processes.
• Set up, operate, and maintain IT security tools and infrastructure.
• Manage AWS and Data-Center security infrastructure.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security tools such as firewalls, endpoint security, mail gateways, DLP tools, DDOS protection services, etc.
• Configure, troubleshoot, design, and implement network devices and topologies (e.g., routers, switches, and SDNs).
• Collaborate with IT team members to ensure alignment with best ITGC practices.
• Maintain and operate vulnerability management tools and processes, ensuring full and continuous remediation.
• Contribute to the creation and improvement of security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP (mandatory).
• Experience with Layer 2 network equipment (FortiSwitch) (mandatory).
• Experience with Layer 3 network equipment (L3 switches and routers) (mandatory).
• Proficiency with Layer 3 dynamic routing protocols (BGP) (mandatory).
• Enterprise wireless infrastructure experience (FortiAP) (mandatory).
• Experience with firewalls (FortiGate) (mandatory).
• Strong security knowledge of Linux and Microsoft-based platforms (mandatory).
• Experience with web application firewalls (mandatory).
• Experience with network access control (NAC) (mandatory).
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanners.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and SOC operations.
• Penetration testing experience and principles (advantage).
• Proven knowledge of WAN and LAN networks (mandatory).
• Cloud security experience (Azure, AWS) (advantage).
• Scripting skills (advantage).
• Experience with audits (advantage).
