Principal Technical Program Manager

Generative AI (Gen AI) is reshaping the world. The Office of CTO in Microsoft’s Security organization is looking for a world class technical leader with firsthand experience developing and applying Gen AI to Enterprises to take part and lead efforts to apply Gen AI to Security, as well as to define and build products to Secure Gen AI enlightened Enterprises.

We are looking for a senior AI architect who enjoys understanding complex problems, formulating innovative and comprehensive solutions to them, and is capable to present these to Microsoft’s technical and business leadership. At the same time the person should be able to propose advanced new approaches, products and manage small tiger teams to build fast proof of concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create the vision and lead cross company efforts in Security for AI.
• Identify hard problems in applying Gen AI to Security and lead the technical and business efforts to solve these.
• Define, socialize, and lead execution of company-wide strategies
• Collaborate with senior leaders, architects, marketing, and business developers across many teams to achieve desired outcomes.
• Develop new architectural patterns and processes for services to implement.
• Work with Microsoft Security drivers, to surface alignment issues or course corrections, and work through them.
• Collaborate with team in building models and methods that surface insights to engineering teams and Microsoft senior leadership clearly and concisely.
• Drive impact and change through dovetailing into existing workflows and enterprise customer programs.
• Stay educated on existing and emerging technologies, conducting proof of concepts to evaluate technology fits for customer needs.
  
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of AI experience, a combination of acedemic and work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud service designs and common platforms/frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience developing and shipping customer-facing cloud services (SaaS model) at an enterprise-grade scale, designing, implementing, and maintaining complex system architecture.
• Excellence in written and verbal communication and ability to partner for success across all levels of organization and technical depths.
• Experience driving efforts across product groups and business units.
• Customer-first, business-savvy, and holds a growth mindset to uphold our culture and values.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or related cloud experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written English communication skills, including communication with executives overseas.
• Excellent negotiation and partnership skills.
