Job Summary

This supervisory position oversees a crew of hourly employees and/or contract staff responsible for oil and gas field operations in order to direct the day-to-day field operations activities for an assigned functional area, which may include plant, field maintenance, drilling, completions, construction, or pipeline.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinates the day-to-day work activities for a team of field personnel and contractors
• Inspects work progress, equipment, construction sites to verify safety or and to ensure specifications are met
• Estimates materials and worker requirements needed to complete jobs
• Orders ore requisitions materials and supplies to complete jobs
• Confers with managerial or technical personnel to resolve problems and issues that arise
• Seeks opportunities to streamline processes, optimize productivity, eliminate inefficiencies, and cut costs
• Attends production, completion and safety meetings as needed
• Performs all work in accordance with Expand's EHS guidelines, as well as government regulations and codes
• Provides direct supervision of personnel
• Participate in decisions involving hiring, promotion, compensation administration, and termination of employment
• Acts as a lead when the superintendent is unavailable
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Job Specific Skills

• Advanced knowledge of oil and gas operations
• Advanced knowledge of oilfield equipment operations, including their designs, uses, repairs and maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of industry safety and environmental standards, requirements and regulations
• Advanced knowledge of administrative procedures in order to prepare and maintain reports, budgets, and administrative records as required
• Ability to provide on-the-job training, performance assessment, coaching, motivation, and career development to employees
• Ability to show flexibility in response to change and adapt to and accommodate new policies, procedures, and technology
• Ability to ensure all employees are operating within all Expand, state, and federal guidelines, policies, and regulations
• Ability to oversee workover activities
• Good knowledge of well construction and completion
  
  

Education & Experience

Minimum: High school diploma or GED and 5 - 8 years related work experience or an equivalent substitution for education of 9 - 12 years related work experience

Additional Qualifications

Ability to possess a valid drivers license
