What is the job:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Engineering to lead our DDoS mitigation management application team. The role will be based in Tel Aviv, but you will be overseeing a diverse, multicultural engineering team spread across four global sites. You will be responsible for managing a cutting-edge distributed architecture, including cloud and on-premises SIEM and SOAR applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage an organization of over 50 engineers across multiple global locations. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment while driving high performance and innovation.
• Technical Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of complex distributed systems and applications. Ensure the use of best practices in HA and MSSP scale
• Project Management: Drive the strategic vision for our DDoS mitigation management application, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. Coordinate with various stakeholders to align project goals with business objectives.
• Architecture & Design: Lead the development and enhancement of cloud and on-premises SIEM and SOAR applications. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the architecture. As required from HA, DR and MSSP scale supporting application.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product management, cybersecurity experts, and other engineering teams to integrate solutions and drive innovation. Facilitate cross-site collaboration to achieve common goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement processes and tools to improve efficiency, quality, and performance using agile methodologies. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Customer Engagement: Track customer found defects and manage (directly is some cases) the solution in the product, while keeping customer satisfied with the solution and delivery vehicle.
  
  

• Experience: Proven experience managing large engineering teams (50+ engineers) in disparate global locations. Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and drive them to successful completion.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical acumen in Docker, Pub/Sub architecture RabbitMQ or Pulsar, Elastic and Postgres DBs, Spring Starter Libs, NodeJS, React-based UI/UX. Experience with cloud and on-premises SIEM and SOAR applications is advantage.
• Leadership: Exceptional leadership and people management skills with a track record of building high-performing, multicultural teams (job requires colocation and site visits of the remote development site in few sites outside IL).
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate collaboration across diverse teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
