Site Manager (Administrative Management Assistant)

This position ensures the maintenance, physical security, and improvement of facilities and infrastructure on U.S. DOD sites in Israel without continuous U.S. military presence. Responsible for managing all Department of Defense (DOD) sites, facilities, and real property assets in Israel. As Site Manager, incumbent coordinates all U.S. military, DoD, government, and host nation personnel and contractors requiring access to, or operating on U.S. DoD sites in Israel. Responsible for identifying and maintaining plan for maintenance, repairs, and construction requirements and will ensure proper scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and qualify control of all task and sub-tasks performed by contractors.

Additionally, as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) incumbent is responsible for monitoring and facilitating operations, maintenance, repair and construction contract efforts across the sites and performing designated duties on behalf of the Contracting Officer. Incumbent ensures proper implementation of contract requirements and is responsible for day-to-day administration of each contract, ensuring performance issues are verified and documented.

Main point of contact for all facility operations, maintenance, repair, and construction on U.S. DoD sites in Israel. As interpreter and Translator, incumbent will regularly translate from Hebrew-to-English and English-to-Hebrew on behalf of U.S. personnel during discussions and other communications between U.S. and host-nation officials, both orally and in writing. Additionally incumbent will promptly perform translation services for construction-related documents such as Request of Information (FI), As-Built documents, and construction drawings and specifications.

Education Requirements:

At least 2 years of full-time study at college or university (no specific field required).

Experience Requirements:

Two (2) years' experience in managing facilities, infrastructure, or real property assets that involves planning and coordinating projects and events involving entities from at least two (2) organizations.

Language:

English and Hebrew (fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing is required. These may be tested.

Job Knowledge:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Basic-level understanding of construction activities and sequences and familiarity with local vendor base.

Skills And Abilities:

• Strong writing skills and being capable of effectively operating as a member of a planning team is required.
• Must have and maintain a valid Bet (B) driver's license.
• Accessibility - Must be able to receive after-hours duty calls on an as-needed basis.
• Must be able to translate construction documentation, keep records of transactions, and submit timely reports on construction status regularly.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pound/22.68 kgs.
• Must be able to attain access to Israel Defense Force (IDF) installations containing U.S. DOD sites in Israel.
• Must be able to ascertain proper access and full escort privileges to Israeli installations with U.S. DOD sites.
