Tech Lead - Browser Security (JB-204)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Perlis Cyber Protection Labs is responsible for researching innovative breakthrough product-oriented technologies for various cyber security products such as EDR, SASE, Threat Intelligence and more. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join our Browser Security Team. This team is responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge security capabilities for our Chromium-based browser. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership, software architecture, and hands-on development, with a focus on core (kernel) and applicative security features for the browser.

RESPONSIBILITIES

(1) Technical Leadership

Lead the design, development, and implementation of new security features for the browser.

Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high standards of quality and security.

Drive technological leadership and provide direction to the team on best practices and emerging technological and business trends in browser security.

Develop and evaluate Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate new security technologies and approaches.

(2) Software Architecture

a. Oversee the architecture design and development process for new security features.

b. Mentor and guide team members, ensuring a high level of code quality and adherence to architectural standards.

c. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security features seamlessly into the browser.

(3)Hands-On Development (70%+)

a. Engage in hands-on development to implement critical components of the security features.

b. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to browser security.

Required Skills:

• 5+ Years Leadership and Team Management: Proven experience in leading and managing research and/or development teams. Acting as the mentor and integrator of the team – from ideation to POC/product.
• 5+ Years Cybersecurity expertise:
• Experienced with R&D work on different security product and services
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, especially as they relate to web browsers
• 5+ Years Linux Proficiency: Extensive experience working with Linux operating systems for security purposes
• 5+ Years Architectural Design Skills: Ability to design and oversee the implementation of secure browser architectures
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with team members and stakeholders.
• Business Understanding: Strong business orientation with an understanding of how technical decisions impact business outcomes.
• Project Management: Experience in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within scope.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to address complex technical challenges.
• ADV. - Browser Development Expertise: Strong understanding of browser architecture and hands-on experience in browser development.
