Head of Business Intelligence (BI)

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Head of BI will lead the Business Intelligence department, focusing on leveraging data to drive business decisions and strategies. The role involves managing a team of analysts and engineers, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing the company's data pipeline within the Google ecosystem (BigQuery, Looker, etc.). The individual will collaborate with various departments to deliver insights that support marketing, finance, product development, and operational efficiency.

YOUR IMPACT:

• Lead and mentor BI analysts and data engineers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Set performance goals and provide professional development opportunities.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring a scalable and efficient data infrastructure.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and reports using Looker and other Google ecosystem tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics, identify data requirements, and create actionable insights that support business decisions.
• Manage and optimize data pipelines in BigQuery, ensuring efficient data flow, integration, and transformation processes.
• Implement best practices for data management, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with finance, marketing, product, and operations teams to understand their data needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
• Act as a data advocate within the organization, promoting a data-driven culture and ensuring alignment between departments.

• Lead BI projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and alignment with business priorities.
• Track project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to senior management and stakeholders.

• Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in the BI and data analytics field, particularly within the Google ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and new data sources that enhance the company’s analytical capabilities.
  
  

• BSc/BA degree preferred
• The candidate preferably has 2+ years of relevant industry experience, min 3+ years as Team leader in BI environment
• Experience in an analytical role with a heavy focus on querying data, analysing, and clearly presenting analyses to stakeholders across the organization.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
