Research and Development Authority Coordinator

About Us: The Research and Development Authority at Shaare Zedek Medical Center promotes basic, translational, and clinical research across all medical departments. We provide researchers with everything they need to perform high-quality research, including grants assistance, academic collaborations, training and educational programs, and support with publishing academic papers and more. The R&D Authority promotes all research activities at the Medical Center.

Responsibilities

Management and monitoring of academic research grants, including

• Information gathering: Collecting information and distributing calls for proposals widely and individually.
• Assistance with grants submissions and familiarity with the requirements of various foundations.
• Assisting researchers with grants management, including tracking research progress until completion.
• Monitoring research grant agreements and academic agreements, including agreements for the transfer of samples and data.
• Organizing enrichment and support for researchers, such as workshops on grant writing, referrals to service providers (statisticians and language editors), etc.

Responsibility for research programs

• Coordination of various internal research programs for interns and senior researchers.
• Overseeing research programs in collaboration with external academic institutions.
• Managing all aspects of the programs, from application and selection process to organizing seminars and conferences.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences - mandatory. A research master’s degree or in Life Sciences or similar - an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking) - mandatory.

Experience

• Project management experience - an advantage.
• Research experience in academia - an advantage.
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Position: Full-time or part-time position in Jerusalem.
