Data Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic, multi-talented Data Engineer with a diverse skill set to join our team. This role is essential for projects that span from proof of concept and research phases to robust design, server-side development, and AI/ML integration. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a variety of technologies and capable of handling unexpected challenges, whether debugging services in TypeScript or performing DevOps tasks.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and is eager to contribute to both development and research-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in design and decision-making processes across a wide range of technologies and domains, from server-side development to AI/ML model integration.
• Design, extend, and manage data pipelines (streaming and batch) and large-scale distributed systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to support AI/ML model development and deployment.
• Perform code reviews, provide feedback on implementations, and suggest potential tool improvements.
• Troubleshoot and debug services across different environments, including TypeScript and DevOps-related tasks.
• Stay current with new technologies and contribute to the team’s learning and development.

Experience Requirements:

• 4+ years of server-side development experience, with strong knowledge of OOP/OOD and design patterns.
• 2+ years of experience with data pipeline tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, Druid, Redis).
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML models, including their lifecycle management in production (MLOps).
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of asynchronous execution concepts and Linux environments.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Docker, and WebSockets.
• Proven ability to work independently and handle abstract tasks
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, agile environment, with a passion for learning new technologies and handling unexpected challenges.
• Experience in client-side development - advantage.
• Experience with Routing and navigation algorithms - advantage.
• Experience with Geographical Information Systems - advantage.
