Java Software Engineer

A high-tech company in the anti-fraud sector, this firm has developed and operates AI-based technology and big data collection to prevent online fraud, including money laundering (estimated at $500 billion annually), brand counterfeiting, the sale of life-threatening counterfeit drugs, terrorist financing, illegal gambling, human trafficking, and more.

The company’s platform scans millions of products daily on shopping sites using information provided by sellers, accumulated knowledge on similar products, and learning models. The system analyzes data that includes descriptive text, attached images, purchase information, seller details, and price matching.

Founded in 2015, the company has raised $67 million to date. It is located in Tel Aviv near a train station and operates on a hybrid work model. The company employs 170 people globally, with 120 in Israel, including 50 in the R&D department.

Role Overview-

• Design, develop and influence a flagship product of a company in a rapidly growing industry, together with amazing people.
• Solve diverse complex problems of scale, performance, and business logic.
• Work in an agile development methodology.
• Review code, architecture, and data to identify and troubleshoot problems and areas for improvement and optimization.
• Work together with Product, Data analysts, and Data Scientists to design and improve our product.
• Share knowledge and mentor other engineers.

Requirements-

• Expertise in Java with at least 5+years of experience in backend development.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with a microservices-based architecture.
• Experience with serverless architecture
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Maven.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Fluent in English.
• BSC in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as cloud Formation, Terraform -Advantage
