About MATI

Established in 1991 by legendary former mayor Teddy Kollek and famed Israeli businessman Uri Scharf, in response to the influx of immigrants from the former Soviet Union and their employment challenges, MATI – the Jerusalem Business Development Center helps entrepreneurs and business owners to start and expand businesses in Jerusalem and its environs. Each year, MATI supports entrepreneurs in both East and West Jerusalem, thus aiding in the creation of thousands of new jobs and advancing the city's overall economic development.

Responsibilities

• Development of fundraising materials
• Grant writing and reporting to foundations in English
• Donor correspondence in English and Hebrew
• Prospect research
• Work plan task management, ensuring that deadlines and goals are met
• Support of fundraising operations of the organization

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills in English
• Native-level English speaker, fluent Hebrew speaker. Knowledge of Arabic - advantage
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Action-oriented and flexible
• Able to work independently as well as to collaborate with colleagues
• Familiarity with the nonprofit sector and social impact
• Experience in resource development – advantage

50% position, with potential to expand in the future, reporting to the Vice President, Resource Development.  In person in our Talpiot, Jerusalem office.

Monthly NIS salary of 5,000-6,000, commensurate with experience.
