Backend Engineering Team Lead

A FinTech startup developing a SaaS platform for online businesses is seeking a lead developer. The platform automates refunds, helps businesses maintain profitability, and recovers "lost money.

The role involves leading and building an intimate, impactful team, with 70% hands-on work using Node in JavaScript/TypeScript and other advanced technologies. After raising $14 million in Seed funding, the company has about 80 employees, offering stock options and excellent conditions.

The office is located in Modi'in, near the train station, with two work-from-home days per week.

About the role -

• Take a leading role in the team of talented engineers, share your experience and demonstrate expertise building the market-leading product

• Design and implement the infrastructure of the system including the ingestion, algorithms, performance optimizations, and interactive applications

• Build a highly scalable data platform for diversified and complex data flows

• Have end-to-end ownership: Design, build, ship, measure, and maintain our backend services. You build it you own it

• Work closely with our fantastic Product team that created an industry-leading SaaS Product-Led-Growth offering

Requirements-

• 7 Years of experience in backend software development with TypeScript, NodeJS.

• Proven experience of leading team of 4+ engineers. Larger/multiple teams

• Experience in designing and maintaining event-driven Microservices and FaaS

• Several years of experience with AWS cloud Serverless infrastructures and architectures

• Deep expertise with products like API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation, SAM, Event Bridge.

• Several years of experience designing with both NoSQL, specifically MongoDB and relational databases.

• Experience in building infrastructure, choosing and integrating tools and best practices around development speed, velocity and standardization
