Algorithm Engineer

successful global startup company developing advanced chips for high-speed communication, used by large data centers, is seeking an Algorithm Engineer (ECC) to join their R&D group in the Optical Communication domain.

The company is located in Tel Aviv, close to the train station, and operates in a hybrid work model. The team consists of about 70 employees.

About the role-

• Design and simulate ECC architectures, define key capabilities, performance requirements and drive specifications for digital and firmware designers.
• Develop and simulate ECC algorithms and integrate these algorithms with the MODEM simulation.
• Work with designers to ensure circuit architecture can be efficiently implemented.
• Participate in cross-functional teams with digital and firmware designers for bring-up and validation/optimization activities.
• The team is focused on developing the next generation of coherent optical transceivers for DCI, supporting data rates of 800Gbps and 1600Gbps.

Requirements-

• 5 years or more of hands-on experience and a well proven record of ECC algorithms development
• Fixed point design and programming in MATLAB and C
• Very good understanding of System and HW implementation restrictions
• Lab hands on (algorithms debug and tuning)
• Additional Preferred Experience
