Job Description: Railway Maintenance Technician

Mission: The primary mission of this role is to troubleshoot and resolve any faults that may arise in the specific signalling systems and associated railway equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Troubleshooting and repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in signalling equipment, including:

o Beacons on the track

o On-board equipment in trams (antennas, calculators)

o Cabinet equipment in interlockings

· Ensure proper implementation and delivery of completed work to clients.

· Communicate by means of reports all breakdowns and technical issues of the system to the relevant manager.

· Report any incidents or problems to the maintenance supervisor.

· Provide technical and operational support for ongoing projects in the area.

· Propose and implement the necessary techniques, tools, procedures, and technologies to carry out daily functions efficiently.

Requirements:

· Technical training in electronics, electrical systems, or a related field.

· A minimum of 2 years of experience in the railway sector, preferably in signalling systems.

· Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

· Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

· Experience with electronics, communication systems, use of laptops, and hand tools.

· Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards technical challenges.

Preferred Profile:

We are looking for a technician with a background in the railway sector, although candidates with engineering qualifications and relevant skills will also be considered.
