Communications Officer
📍 Location: Tel Aviv, with International Travel
⏰ Employment Type: 60% (Part-Time) with potential to increase to Full-Time
About NALA Foundation:
NALA is a global NGO committed to eliminating neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and breaking the cycle of poverty through health and sanitation initiatives. Our innovative projects reach millions of people around the world, making a sustainable impact in the most vulnerable communities. As our work continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Communications Officer to amplify NALA’s message and help us strengthen our digital presence.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and driven Communications Officer to join our team in Tel Aviv. This role offers creative freedom and the opportunity to lead on the development of NALA’s communication materials, including digital content, social media, graphic design, and video production. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Communications, you will play a key role in shaping NALA’s digital presence and increasing the visibility of our work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and design high-quality digital content, including newsletters, blogs, social media posts, videos, and brochures, in line with NALA’s branding and messaging.
- Social Media Management: Lead on the social media strategy across platforms and manage NALA’s digital presence to achieve specific KPIs.
- Campaign Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of online campaigns for awareness-raising and fundraising.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all communication materials are consistent with NALA’s brand, style, and tone of voice.
- International Collaboration: Work closely with NALA’s global team, occasionally traveling to project sites for content collection and storytelling, while maintaining cultural sensitivity and ethical standards.
- Digital Platform Management: Oversee digital content libraries and manage online platforms.
- Graphic and Video Design: Support the development of visual content, including graphic designs and video edits for social media and organizational use.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation – must.
- Native-level English writing and editing skills – must.
- Graphic design experience with proficiency in Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and Canva – must.
- Experience with video editing is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Previous experience in international development or working in the Global South is a strong advantage.
