Senior Data Scientist – Ultrasound AI

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in image processing and artificial intelligence. In this role, you will develop and implement machine learning models to analyze ultrasound data (both images and 3D volumes), improving accuracy and efficiency in AI enhanced diagnostics. You will work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, clinicians, and researchers, to drive projects from conception to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms for ultrasound image analysis.
• Preprocess and analyze large datasets of ultrasound images, videos  and 3D volumes.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to understand diagnostic challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Validate and test models to ensure robustness and reliability in clinical settings.
• Present findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in ultrasound technology and AI methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - a must!.
• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision - a must!.
• Strong background in algebra, 3D geometry and regression models - a must!.
• Proficiency Python programmer, familiarity with PyTorch and OpenCV libraries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ultrasound imaging and medical data analysis is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA).
• Experience in deploying models in production environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with data visualization tools.
