A cleantech company looking for a CTO / co-founder

Company Description

HoriZn Technologies is a metallurgical R&D startup based in Acre, focusing on developing a new innovative technology for zinc recovery from Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) dust. The company has developed a groundbreaking "wet" process for on-site pure zinc recovery, disrupting the industry with cost-effective and scalable solutions that have attracted interest from steel mill owners.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a CTO / Co-Founder at HoriZn Technologies in Acre, with some flexibility for remote work. The CTO / Co-Founder will be responsible to lead the continuation of development and engineering activities and support the recruitment of investors.

Main Responsibilities:

• Daily management of development and engineering activities 

• Development and management of the technological roadmap 

• To be an expert in the field, and a technological authority on the management team

The Ideal Candidate:

• Mechanical/process/chemical engineer 

• Experience from chemical/petrochemical plants is preferred.

• Experience in planning and building industrial lines

• Experience in chemical analysis and laboratory work 

• High level of English

• Extensive knowledge of 3D software (Autodesk, SolidWorks, etc.)

• Significant experience in an industrial company 

• Ability to think outside the box

• Ability to work in a team
