Backend Team Lead

One of our clients, a pioneering digital health company, is looking to hire a Backend Team Lead. Position Overview:

They are seeking a talented and experienced backend team leader to lead their backend team and contribute to developing their cutting-edge digital health platform. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust microservices architecture on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain a microservices architecture on AWS using TypeScript and other modern technologies.
• Manage microservices' deployment, monitoring, and scaling with tools such as Kubernetes, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, ECS, StepFunctions, AppSync, and S3.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using CDK, ensuring alignment with deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture meets product and business requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in backend development with a strong emphasis on TypeScript and AWS microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, ECS, StepFunctions, AppSync, and S3.
• Strong expertise in CDK (Infrastructure as Code) is essential.
• Familiarity with deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
• Experience in data engineering and Python is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and efficient solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EKS and RDS.
• Knowledge of modern data engineering practices.
