Testers and Calibration Manager

We are seeking an experienced Testers and Calibration Manager to lead the team responsible for the development, life cycle management, and global service support of Testers and Calibration (T&C) systems used in the manufacture of Navigation Instruments and related products. This role is critical for ensuring the effective management of all T&C systems, providing strategic direction, and aligning resources to meet both internal and external customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Leadership:

• Provide leadership and direction to the Calibration team, ensuring all aspects of T&C systems are effectively managed.
• Directly manage the Team Leader and support the professional growth of engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with cross-functional managers within the engineering department, representing the T&C team in engineering leadership discussions.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Testers & Calibration Systems Development:

• Lead the end-to-end development of new Testers & Calibration systems, from customer requirements gathering to system installation and release.
• Manage system upgrades, modifications, and the introduction of new features based on evolving needs.
• Develop cost-effective, long-term strategies for system development and improvement.

Life Cycle Management (LCM):

• Oversee the life cycle of all T&C systems, including End-of-Life (EOL) management.
• Provide technical support for system improvements, investigations, and problem-solving activities.
• Ensure effective installation base management, data control, and configuration control.

New Product Development (NPD):

• Lead T&C systems development projects, collaborating with Research & Development (R&D) to align solutions with customer and company requirements.
• Build project plans, manage timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensure milestones are met.
• Drive project meetings, track action items, and address supplier issues as needed.

Global T&C Service Support:

• Provide service support for T&C systems across all manufacturing sites globally.
• Manage installation base data, configuration, and control systems to ensure efficient service delivery.

Business Partner and Supplier Management:

• Establish and maintain strong commercial relationships with T&C system suppliers.
• Lead contract negotiations, statements of work (SOWs), and purchase orders (POs) for R&D and LCM activities.
• Act as the primary commercial point of contact for all Testers & Calibration system business partnerships.

Strategy & Roadmap Development:

• Develop and manage a long-term roadmap for T&C systems to meet future business needs.
• Align the T&C team’s strategy with overall company objectives and communicate progress to senior leadership.
• Engage with internal and external teams for long-term planning and resource management, including manpower, systems, and hardware.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience in Testers & Calibration systems development, lifecycle management, and project management.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of engineers and technicians.
• Strong understanding of calibration systems, life cycle management, and system development processes.
• Experience managing suppliers and building long-term business relationships.
• Excellent project management skills, including budget management, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
