Hardware Testing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Testing Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough testing of electronic hardware to ensure the highest standards of performance, quality, and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, production, and maintenance, to identify and resolve any issues that may arise .

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing & Validation: Perform detailed testing of electronic hardware, including in-circuit testing (ICT), Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), and functional testing to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Test Equipment Operation: Utilize advanced testing tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, resistance meters, and ICT and AOI systems to conduct both manual and automated tests.
• Circuit Analysis: Analyze and troubleshoot electronic circuits, identifying any faults or failures, and implement effective solutions to improve product performance.
• Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Collaborate with the production subcontractor to ensure understanding and alignment on electronic board manufacturing processes, including assembly, soldering, and quality control.
• Documentation & Reporting: Read and interpret PCB layouts and electrical schematics to guide testing procedures. Document test results, report faults, and provide recommendations for design or process improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including development and maintenance, to provide feedback and suggest improvements to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in hardware testing or a related role.
• Comprehensive Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot electronic circuits effectively.
• Experience with Testing Equipment: Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, power supplies, resistance meters, ICT systems, AOI systems, and other advanced testing equipment.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with electronic board manufacturing processes, including assembly and soldering techniques, as well as quality control checks at various stages.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose faults, investigate issues within electronic circuits, and implement quick and effective solutions.
• Ability to Read Schematics: Proficiency in reading and interpreting PCB layouts and electrical schematics to understand board structure and guide the required testing procedures.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, communicate issues clearly, and provide actionable feedback to improve the hardware testing process.
