Purpose of the role
The Creative Marketing Art Director heads one of the core pillars of the marketing group at Whalo and s/he owns a key role in the growth of Fish of Fortune. The main purpose of this role is to lead and shape the creative marketing strategy, art direction and production to bring our creative campaigns to life, ensuring that our visual storytelling captivates and resonates with our audience across all channels. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the visual strategy for marketing campaigns, ensuring that all creative elements align with brand identity and marketing objectives.
- Oversee the creative production process to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output, while maintaining an efficient workflow across teams.
- Manage and supervise motion designers, graphic designers, and external partners, providing feedback to ensure work meets company standards and creative goals
- Collaborate closely with the game art and creative team to maintain consistency between marketing assets and the game’s visual identity; Work closely with the VP Creative, translating high-level directives into actionable creative marketing projects
- Actively participate in the design process, contributing hands-on work, particularly for high-priority projects.
- Tailor creative briefs based on insights from marketing performance data and social media feedback to optimize future ads and hack the winning concepts.
- Develop marketing materials for ads, app store visuals, social media content, and in-game product communication, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Creative Marketing Leader in mobile games marketing environment (5+ years of experience)
- Deep understanding of creative marketing across multiple platforms and channels.
- Passion for mobile games, and strong knowledge of the gaming industry.
- Proven management skills with experience leading creative teams; Leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to hire, train, and mentor talent
- Highly organized, able to work efficiently at scale and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong affinity for business goals, with a focus on KPIs to measure creative performance.
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of design and execution.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge of After Effects, Blender, and Unity is a plus.
