As a member of our Engineering leadership, you will have a unique opportunity to make an impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of cutting-edge SaaS products, built to prevent phishing attacks at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Platform development team at IRONSCALES, responsible for next generation architecture for large scale, cloud based, micro-services architecture for cutting-edge cyber security platform.
• Work with Development and DevOps teams to plan, design, and build the infrastructure components and processes for fast-paced development, extensible platform, team enablement, ensuring high quality, robust, and secure platform.
• Serve as architect and lead the Backend Engineering Guild, introduce best-practices, tools, and infrastructure components, review designs, mentor and build on-boarding plans for backend engineers.
• Hire, mentor and inspire a team to adopt engineering excellence.
• Become a subject matter expert on architecture, performance, and optimization
• Plan and execute quarterly and sprint plans, communicate effectively risks and mitigations.

Requirements:

• BSc or BA in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 8+ years of backend development - must
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience, people management - must
• Must have 2+ years’ experience in Python
• Must have experience in Micro-Services architecture and development, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and Cloud.
• Must have experience in leading projects and planning work in Agile and dynamic manner.
• Experience in Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Linux, AWS – an advantage
