Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Global Pepper PD Manager to oversee and manage the portfolio of pepper products in order to lead significant sales increases. This role requires close collaboration with R&D, NPV production, operation, sales, and marketing teams to drive product development from trials, PAMs through market introduction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management or pepper breeding within the seed industry and be able to work independently in a global environment.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

• Oversee the pepper product portfolio across strategic global markets.
• Ensure alignment of product strategy with market needs and company objectives.

Trial Program Leadership:

• Lead the preparation and execution of external trial programs for different product stages (S1, S2, and introduction) in collaboration with Sales, marketing and breeding teams.
• Monitor and evaluate trial performance, generating periodic reports on trial outcomes to inform decision-making, Lead annual regional PAM meeting.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

• Conduct comprehensive market studies for pepper products in each region.
• Coordinate efforts between R&D and marketing teams to align strategies and achieve common goals.
• Develop and refine product positioning strategies, including crafting the product narrative for market introduction.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

• Manage and analyze data from trial programs across various markets, drawing actionable insights to drive product decisions.
• Utilize data to optimize product development, positioning, and future planning.

ERP/Phenome  System Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date trial, inventory, and production data within the company’s ERP system.
• Ensure seamless integration of data for informed decision-making across departments.

Seed Production and Inventory Management:

• Oversee seed production and inventory plans, ensuring alignment with trial plans and promotional activities.
• Ensure that production and inventory align with the demand and promotion schedules of new varieties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management within the seed industry, or as a pepper breeder.
• Ability to work independently, while effectively managing global operations.
• Experience working in a global, cross-cultural environment.
• Strong leadership and influence skills, capable of managing without direct authority.
• Proficiency in ERP systems for data management and reporting.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel extensively to manage global projects
