Pilot Operational Manager

I'm seeking an experienced Pilot Operations Manager for a NPD unit in a medical device company.

This role involves overseeing a small team of technicians and assemblers in the field of micro-coils and sensors, managing the unit's operations from pilot production to client deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background, experience managing small teams, and familiarity with medical device manufacturing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of technicians and assemblers within the micro-coil and sensor development domain.

Establish and manage a pilot production line for new products.

Oversee order intake, processing, and on-time delivery to customers.

Manage the unit’s P&L, including budgeting and financial performance.

Price services and products for customers and ensure profitability.

Oversee purchasing, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.

Collaborate with the R&D department to transition products from development to pilot production.

Interface with global operations for transferring products to NPI (New Product Introduction) and mass-production

Ensure compliance with ISO 13485/9001 standards and medical device manufacturing regulations.

Willingness to travel internationally several times a year as required.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as an Operations Manager, ideally within small-to-medium-sized organizations.

Background in industrial engineering, operations management, or production management – advantage. Proven experience in operational processes, supply chain, procurement, and logistics.

Familiarity with ISO 13485/9001 standards and medical device manufacturing regulations.

Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, P&L, and pricing strategies.

High-level proficiency in English (spoken, written, and reading) is a must.
