Back End Developer

We’re Amp. And we’ll get straight to the point: we’re building the next evolution of interactive fitness. We’re a group of tech-obsessed fitness fanatics who realized that, just maybe, people should actually enjoy their workouts. So, we started designing. From the ground up. And we think we’ve come up with something that’s going to completely change the game.

Our designers come from Apple and Twitter. Our product people from Facebook, Apple, Lumo, Athos, and Playtika. Software and Hardware /engineers at the top of their fields. And they’re all working together to help you get results and work out in a way that’s going to keep you engaged, progressing, and enjoying the process. • Design and implement highly scalable and performant backend systems, focusing on low latency and high throughput.
• Develop complex, scalable backend services from the ground up using cutting-edge technologies such as serverless architecture, AWS, and big data.
• Deliver high-quality software on time by collaborating with the team on backend optimizations, and taking ownership of the process
• Utilize Continuous Integration & Delivery and/or Test-Driven Development to ensure code quality, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct performance profiling and tuning on backend systems to achieve optimal efficiency.

You are:

• A seasoned software engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, preferably in high-performance, low-latency environments.
• Experienced in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiar with serverless architecture and microservices.
• A problem-solving attitude, eager to tackle performance and efficiency challenges in backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL data stores like DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, etc.,
• Experienced with building microservices systems in a serverless environment - a strong advantage.
• Experienced with Nodejs, GraphQL, and Typescript - a strong advantage.
• Experienced in multiple front-end platforms, including iOS, React, Android, and API services - an advantage
• Experienced with Swift/SwiftUI - an advantage.
• Experience integrating GenAI technologies - an advantage
• Preferably with a degree in computer science or similar.
