WINN.AI is a fast-growing startup, backed by leading VCs, developing a real-time AI assistant for sales teams.
We are seeking a BDR Team Lead to join our growing sales team. This role is split between 60% hands-on BDR work and 40% team management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both generating leads and leading a team. You will play a key role in driving our lead generation efforts while also mentoring and managing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs). You will report directly to the Head of Sales and work closely with other departments to align strategy and goals.
* The BDR team works in US hours.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BDRs, ensuring they meet performance goals and continuously develop their skills.
- Set individual and team KPIs, monitor performance, and provide feedback and coaching to improve results.
- Drive team-wide adoption of best practices in outreach and lead qualification processes.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new BDR team members.
- Report to the Head of Sales on team performance, key metrics, and progress toward targets.
- Create and maintain a positive and high-performance culture within the BDR team.
- Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to optimize lead generation processes and workflows.
- Innovate and implement new strategies and tools to improve BDR efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure smooth handoffs of qualified leads from the BDR team to Account Executives.
- Hands-On Lead Generation:
- Actively engage in prospecting, cold calling, emailing, and social selling to identify and qualify leads.
- Utilize various tools and platforms to research prospects and develop outreach strategies.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Track and report on key metrics, including pipeline generation, conversion rates, and team performance.
- Use data to drive insights and decision-making, presenting findings to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on BDR/SDR experience in a B2B software company is required.
- 1+ year of team management experience, with a proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of B2B software sales, sales processes, and outbound lead generation strategies.
- Tech Savvy:
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms.
- Experience using AI-driven tools in a sales environment is a significant advantage.
- Strong Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects and lead internal teams.
- Data-Driven:
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to optimize processes and improve team performance.
- US Hours:
- Willingness to work in US hours is required.
