Lavie Bio is looking for an innovative material engineer to join its multidisciplinary R&D team. Lavie Bio improves food quality, sustainability and agriculture productivity through microbiome based ag-biologicals technologies and products. We harness the power of big data and advanced informatics to discover, optimize and develop novel products for the agbiological market.

As part of the company's research activities, the company is developing ground-breaking biologicals delivery technology that has the potential to disrupt the industry. We are looking for an innovative, ambitious, material engineer to be the materials expert of all our research activities, including leading this exciting project

Summary of job description:

o  Report to VP Research.

o   Develop groundbreaking microbial formulations to enable advanced application of microbial products in agriculture.

o  Prioritized formulation materials to achieve formulation requirements and specifications.

o  Develop and calibrate formulation production processes.

o  Operate formulation instruments.

o  Experiment with different process conditions and different materials, including different microbial strains.

o  Validate materials functioning at the product level.

o  Validate microbials functioning in the formulations.

Education & experience requirements

o  Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in the field of materials engineering.

o  PhD or MSc in material engineering or related field.

o  Background in polymer science.

o  Experience with formulating agricultural products – an advantage.

o  Strong technical skills.

o  Strong problem-solving skills.

o  Visionary, able to envision new technologies.

o  Leaves no stone unturned in the search for a breakthrough.

o  Good verbal and written communication skills.

o  Able to prepare technical reports and documentation.
