Underwriter

An Underwriter is tasked with the review of merchant applications by systematically researching and verifying the accuracy of any statements and/or documentation provided and examining the validity of the merchant’s business model and sales practices in light of internal and external acceptance policies and guidelines.

Main responsibilities:

• Receiving applications from various internal sources and making sure these are correct and in line with our procedures and guidelines.
• Reviewing Merchant applications and approving or rejecting them along with providing an explanation as to any outstanding points.
• Maintaining contact with partners as well as internal stakeholders and facilitating in achieving a favorable outcome for applications
• Tracking the status of ongoing applications and creating scheduled reports to reflect all open cases and their status

Requirements:

• At least 1 year experience as an Underwriter in the Payments sector
• English- reading & writing
• Attention to details
• Organized, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Independent worker
• Creative thinking outside the box
