Spanish and Hebrew Speaking General Manager - Relocation to Mexico

Position Overview:

The General Manager will oversee the entire operation of our Mexico site with about 150 employees, managing large-scale and complex engineering and logistics projects in front of the customers in LATAM area. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage resources, budgets, and timelines under pressure, while driving business growth through the development and sales of new projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Company Projects Management:
• Lead the execution of large and complex infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with engineering and logistical standards.
• Develop and manage projects timelines, resource allocation, and logistics, including subcontractor management.

Telecom Project Oversight:

• Manage multiple telecom projects across various geographic locations with tight deadlines.
• Ensure seamless execution and delivery within the defined scope and schedule.

Technical and Engineering Expertise:

• Utilize a strong engineering background (Civil, Mechanical, or Electronics) to understand and interpret technical plans, specifications, and construction processes.
• Provide hands-on oversight during project execution as both a project manager and on-site supervisor.

P&L, budget and Cost Control:

• Prepare and manage company budgets and P&L, ensuring strict adherence to financial controls.
• Oversee cost estimation, budgeting, and actual cost tracking, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Handle negotiations with clients regarding changes, additions, and final payments.

Subcontractor Management and Control:

• Oversee subcontractors selection and cost control, ensuring quality of work, adherence to timelines, and budget compliance.
• Oversee contracts and payment milestones negotiation, ensuring the best value for the company.

Logistics Management:

• Oversee the supply chain, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment in line with project requirements.
• Maintain inventory control and ensure efficient use of resources.

Client Relations and Business Development:

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, managing expectations, and handling negotiations for project modifications and financials.
• Ensure complete client satisfaction from project initiation through final handover.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to secure new projects in telecommunications, security, cyber, and smart city sectors.
• Drive with the sales team to achieve business growth targets and expand the company's presence in the region.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of project managers, supervisors, and project control staff.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring clear communication and efficient teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electronics preferred).

Experience:

• Extensive experience managing large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, with a focus on engineering and logistics.
• Proven experience in telecom project management, handling multiple sites with tight deadlines – an advantage
• Strong background in budget management, cost control, commercial and client relations.
• Experience managing subcontractors and overseeing project logistics.
• Prior experience working in South or Central America, with a deep understanding of the local culture – an advantage
